Breezemount House
In the famous ballad ‘Kitty of Coleraine’, she had her heart stolen by Barney McCleary at the fair in the town. He has long since left, and the names to look out for now are Leslie Campbell and Nicole Wood, your attentive host at Breezemount House. For the past 10 years Leslie and Nicole who is fluent in European languages have been welcoming guests with many return visitors.

When seeking out your accommodation in the village of Gurteen, nestled in the hills of Sligo, a good clue is that it is not too far from the local spire!! Modern, spacious and extremely relaxing, Church View with its imposing local stone façade belies the warmth and comfort awaiting inside.
Cruckawn House B&B
‘Make our house your home’! This is the welcome proffered by Joe and Maeve Walsh to guests visiting Cruckawn House over the past 28 years - how could you pass up an offer like that? Especially when it is complimented by the aroma of freshly baked porter cake, just one of the specialties created by Maeve after years of running her own home bakery. Another temptation is her Cherry & Walnut cake, otherwise known as ‘Joe’s Delight’; this may not be as readily available!
Dan O Hara's Farmhouse
After a good hearty breakfast in the farmhouse, Máirtín will take you back to how difficult life was in pre-famine times and the type of life lived by Dan O’Hara and his large family. Start off with an audio visual on the History of Connemara, and take a stroll around the Crannog and the Ringfort. Take a trip on the tractor drawn carriage, stopping off at the bog to get a bit Irish dirt under your nails, have a go at the traditional method of cutting the turf with a ‘slean’, and the method of stacking the turf to speed up the drying process, this is known as ‘footing’. Visit Dan O’ Hara’s cottage, this is where Máirtín comes into his own giving you the history in a most entertaining fashion; he may even break into a song on a good day!!
Clareview House
Heading southwards from Clareview House, you can visit the spectacular Cliffs of Moher and the visitor centre there or the famous Burren area, a unique landscape of limestone, hills & mountains. Rockfield House
Both Tim and Kathleen are great lovers of local History and enjoy traditional Irish music, song and dance. No better place than Galway City to provide a great range of entertainment in this field, from the ‘diddly aye’ Seisúns in intimate pubs to the more spectacular contemporary dance and music shows. You will find your ‘toe tapping’ hosts have attended many of them and they will be able to steer you towards the one to suit you most, they will even organize a taxi to bring you there.
